Upbringing:
Laurin/Lauren speaks of her childhood as having been raised in Newport, San Diego in California. She was born in Los Angeles. She claims her parents were both doctors and that she grew up in an upper middle-class home, and they might have been. According to records her father was a high school teacher (no proof he was a doctor) (group photo), and her mother was part of the counseling staff at several schools. Her mother may have had a PHD & worked as a school administrator/counselor.
She speaks of having attended a boarding school in the East and of having studied at Cal State Fullerton. Her claims are that she was bright and popular, studied Biology and Pre-Med, was and athlete, champion ice skater (link added July 1) and star softball player. Survivor Story Debunked:
Laurin tells a story of having met her PIMP just out of school at a Local Magazine Shoot she modeled with him in. Based on Superbowl article that would have been in 1992 one year after her daughter was born. (Two Kids by that point)
Laurin claims she has Four More Children during the 23 years she claims to have been with her PIMP. This is VERY Problematic since we know from court records that Laurin has told significant lies here. First one being having been sex trafficked by a Pimp for 23 years. She used several men’s last names & was likely married to at least two different men. Her last four children also had two different fathers.
In all of her interviews there is Never ANY mention of what it is like to be pregnant and trafficked. She would have been pregnant for THREE entire years during that time period which she claims to have been sex trafficked. That is a significant amount of time & would most definitely be a major talking point yet it is never once mentioned by her.
Laurin goes by more than one last name. Hanipale and Mota are from her marriages to two different men. Laurin Colleen Crosson / Lauri Hanipale / Lauri C Hanipale / Laurie Hanipale / Laurin Mota / Lauri Crosson Mota. These names are found on her various court cases regarding domestic violence, unlawful detainer and one criminal charge in California.

If Laurin Crosson was with pimp from 1992-2007 how did she have SIX children by FOUR different men by that point?

Laurin claims to have Two son’s by Uperesa Hanipale whom she was with in 1996,97,98. Those children are around their 20’s now. If she had them around 1998 that would be accurate age-wise. Hanipale currently lives in Chicago along with one of the son’s. The other son lives on Samoa Island.
Laurin Claims she is currently fighting for Two girls who are 16 & 13 by a man named Juan Cardenas. which would mean she would have had to have them in 2002 & 2005. (Laurin is seen in videos stating various ages of these two children. She was asked to provide court proof of a current custody battle but failed to do so.)
Laurin claims the last time she saw these children were when they were 1 or 2. That would be impossible based on the ages since they are at least 3 years apart according to her. Even if the last time she saw the children was in 2006 it also doesn’t fit with her story that she was controlled by her pimp story.
In 2012 Laurin states on FB that she leaves the man she has loved for 23 years. She never makes mention of children, only a cat. 23 years would be from 1989-2012.

Below you will find documents which is clear evidence against LC’s Sex Trafficking Story. LC has often spoken about being a Bottom Bitch. She states very clearly that:
She was helpless, that she had nothing in her name, that her pimp had full control of her life, that she couldn’t even get an apartment in her name, no id, no money, etc..
Below Laurin Clearly was getting apartments in her own name. She also was in relationships with other men. Also Domestic Violence charges were filed against Laurin Crosson in 2001.
The Case Laurin Crosson filed against San Diego: Laurin called 911 claiming the father of her child had a gun. The police arrived and shot him dead on the spot. She filed a lawsuit. She denied she ever claimed he had a gun but they had the 911 tape of her telling them he had a gun. Mr. Cross didn’t own a gun.
Also I have screen shots of her fb posts around the time she left this man. Her statements do not match with her Sex Trafficked Story and the level of helplessness she indicates in her interviews.
Here was another piece of evidence of a Juan Cardena’s married to another woman in 2006 (also you can see they have a child together).
Laurin claims her PIMP STOLE her Children but here are court documents which say otherwise. She is establishing parental relationship here. Also She claims they Split up in 2012 which would mean she was with her children all of that time. Yet She claims over & over again that Her Pimp Stole them from Her & that she never got to see them since they were 1 or 2 years old.
Her Sex Trafficking Story could be a Complete Fabrication & based on the evidence along with her refusal to provide evidence of Any of her claims, including even the most basic stuff like Prostitution Record, & all of these discrepancies I would contend Most of Her Stories are Entirely False. Nothing adds up. She also does not use correct street terminology or language which I learned at that time myself & know was used across the country & in California (I worked on the Track in San Diego myself & had wife in laws (other girls with my pimp) from California, we all used the same street language & terms. I tested Laurin to see if she understood what I was saying by speaking in the language that all street prostitutes learned back then & she was clueless. She also uses the Mormon term “Sister Wives” which is not the correct street terminology, it is Wife In Laws. Lots of little discrepancies like those which also do not add up.
NO Mention Of Children Whatsoever!
Entry into and experiences with trafficking
Laurin claims that she entered the trafficking business in two ways:
- Her first version seems tailored to her audience, BYU students. Crossom claims she entered the industry through modeling while still in college. One of her fellow models was also a porn star and a pimp. (BYU)
- The second version also seems tailored to another audience, young parents. This time Crosson entered the industry because «money was desperately needed to support my kids and put a roof over our heads.» As a result her children were taken away from her. (Facebook)
- During her time as a prostitute Ms. Crosson speaks of pimps who quite graphically abused her but who also seemed to give her time off for marriage and children. She co-habitated with at least one man for a longer period. One of those was her fiancee and father of her first child. This man ended up being shot to death by a police officer after Ms.Crosson had phoned in a 911 call.
- In 1991 Lauri files a case against the city. This case is later denied due to the records from the 911 calls.
- Ms. Crosson claims to have spent her last twenty years before moving to Utah in the business. Even some of her time after she came to Utah was spent as a prostitute, although this time her pimp did let her attend church once a month (on her busiest day of work) and even sent her by taxi to get there. (Facebook) (I was reminded that Chula Vista is actually in California – so nothing in Utah yet – July 3). However, her alleged attorney did claim that «Keith Hamilton, Crosson’s attorney in Utah, confirmed to HuffPost that she was convicted of prostitution-related charges in Provo, but he was able to reduce it to a disorderly conduct charge.» (Huffington Post) (Quote added August 3)
- One of her wilder claims is based on what is called the Myth of the Superbowl. According to Crosson she arrived at the Superbowl in her Pimp’s Escalade. She never left her hotel room. First buyer would show up at 8 a.m. and the last would leave somewhere between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. 20 to 30 men a day paid $300 for oral sex and $800 for intercourse. Laurin earned enough for her trafficker to drive home in a new Mercedes 450SL. (Huffington Post)
- There is also the matter of the amount of money Crosson claims to have brought in. According to Levitt (2009) a street prostitute would earn up to $30/hour/customer. Someone with a pimp would bring a little more. High-end prostitutes could bring in many times more due to the quality and youth of the prostitute. These are the girls commonly known as «escorts» and are not necessarily pimped at all.
Leaving the trade
Not only her entry and working years merit different versions from Lauren Crosson. How she is supposed to have left the trade also varies. Once again her stories are adjusted according to their intended audiences.
- In 2007, after 15 years with her pimp, Lauren fled from California to Utah and met up with a Mormon bishop. (SLTrib)
- Another version tells of repeated attempts to get out of the business, but that her 30 prostitution charges and lack of network kept her from succeeding. (Morgan Pratt Robinson)
- Her next version included a pimp’s gunshot wound to the head. Sadly she was kept from honest work due to being repeated tossed into jail for not paying her fines. (City-Weekly)
- In one version she added the detail of having been fished out of the Gulf of Mexico, hearing the voice of God and running to Utah after being shot in the head. (BYU)
- And, finally, she lived with her pimp in Utah after she had moved there. (The name of the alleged pimp was removed after a request by one of Laurin’s keepers on June 28th. This information is available on the net.)
- Once in Utah Lauren claims she is forced to register as sex offender, stating that all prostitutes must do so. But a search of both national and state sex offender lists does not turn up a record of Ms. Crosson (under any of her names). If her claims of being bottom-bitch, luring new girls into prostitution, trashed apartments and repeated arrests are true (especially the one that gave her a broken collar-bone), there would have to be some record of this. But there aren’t any.
- Being a sex offender is supposed to be what keeps her from getting a place to stay and work. But that argument falls apart when she isn’t registered as one.
Her stories and comments have gotten progressively worse as she has been confronted with them. A Facebook exclamation after being questioned about a point shows a woman who seems to be coming apart at the seams.
